The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a charitable organization that currently owns and operates five Long Term Care and Assisted Living seniors care communities in Calgary, AB, and Okotoks, AB. We take pride in providing a safe, caring, and comfortable home environment that caters to the complex needs of our senior residents and families.

The Brenda Strafford Foundation – Heart Home Network (“HHN”) serves women and children impacted by family violence through providing a safe shelter and housing complimented by comprehensive support services for all participants. HHN offers a continuum of care designed to help families develop their potential and transition to safe and healthy lives in the community upon their departure.

The Role:

  • Perform daily cleaning duties according to HHN routines and maintain a cleaning record
  • ​Promote a safe and healthy environment for program participants and co-workers
  • ​Recognize safety issues and report them immediately
  • Use equipment (including power equipment), supplies and chemicals according to established standards and procedures
  • ​Record any damage or repairs needed promptly to Manager, Operations & Client Support
  • Dispose of and handle hazardous materials according to WHMIS and Municipal guidelines
  • Able to respond to emergency situations effectively and calmly

Who We're Looking For:

  • One (1) year custodial/housekeeping experience 
  • Minimum High School Diploma, Equivalent experience or education will be considered
  • Occupational Health and Safety knowledge, is an asset
  • Self-motivated independent worker
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intuitive problem-solving skills

  •     Shift Per Cycle:  Monday to Friday
  •     Shift Pattern: 8:30am to 3:00pm
