The Role:
The Brenda Strafford Foundation is looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Aide to join our team. The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the Manor and resident suites, ensuring safety, health, and high-quality housekeeping services for our residents. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning duties according to Housekeeping routines.
- Keep records of cleaning tasks and sign-off when completed.
- Use cleaning chemicals following written protocols and safety standards.
- Report any damage or maintenance issues in the building.
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations.
- Follow Infection Prevention and Control standards and use proper body mechanics techniques.
- Assist with other housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Who We're Looking For:
- Minimum education equivalent to Grade 10.
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written).
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, including WHMIS and Infection Prevention and Control.
Additional Information:
In accordance with Alberta's Protection for Persons in Care Act, a criminal record check is required for successful candidates.
