As our new Human Resources Advisor, you will be a key player in shaping our workplace culture and ensuring that our HR practices match the high standards of care we provide.
Reporting to the VP of People, Culture & Belonging, you will be the cornerstone of our HR team, offering expert guidance and support across a wide range of HR functions.
What You'll Do:
- Provide Expert Advice: Consult with management on labour & employee relations, performance management, and disability programs to offer insightful guidance.
- Champion HR Compliance: Understand where adherence to policies and procedures is vital and where flexibility is important to recognize diverse needs and unique situations.
- Conduct Investigations: Determine when formal or informal investigations are required, and conducting them in a fair, thorough, open-minded, and expeditious manner.
- Enhance HR Practices: Oversee contemporary HR management practices to deliver timely and effective HR services that meet our organizational needs.
- Lead HR Projects: Take on exciting HR projects as directed by the VP, People, Culture & Belonging, driving impactful change.

Qualifications:
- Education: HR Diploma, Certificate, or Degree. CPHR designation preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an HR Business Partner or HR Advisor role
- Knowledge of HR policies, labour & employment law, and regulations.
- Experience with SAP HRIS is a bonus.
- Unionized setting: Experience working with unions is an asset.
- Skills: High level of interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy. Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to balance workloads, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail. Good judgment, professionalism, and credibility. Ability to work independently and also build strong team relationships. Understands that HR is a customer service role where our employees are our customers who should be provided with top-notch service.
